What is a credit?
1 credit equals $0.001 of AI cost at the provider rate. When you use Decalyst, each model call costs a number of credits based on the provider's token pricing. For example, a 5-minute Haiku conversation might cost 50 credits ($0.05). Tiers include a monthly credit pool, and you can always top up.
What happens if I run out of credits?
Your agents pause. You will see a prompt to top up or upgrade. There are no overage charges or surprise bills. You retain full control of when to spend.
Does BYOK work on Free?
Yes. Bring your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter key on any tier, including Free. You pay provider rates with zero Decalyst markup. Your subscription credits still track for visibility, but they do not be consumed. Free-tier users with BYOK have unlimited potential.
Is there an enterprise plan?
Yes, the Team tier supports multi-seat, SSO, and shared credit pools with an audit log. Contact us for a quote.
How do top-ups work?
Buy credit bundles whenever you run low. $1 of top-up credits costs $1 and grants 500 credits (a flat 2x markup covering infrastructure and payment processing). Subscription credits have no markup and renew monthly.
